$662.5m six-lane Bruce Highway Upgrade about to begin.
The contractor has been announced - Acciona Infrastructure Project Australia - and the project will commence before Christmas 2020,
The upgrade will increase the stretch from four to six lanes from Caboolture-Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way exit.
It is one of four upgrades for the Bruce Highway totalling $2.8 billion and supporting more than 2000 jobs.
Coast Projects benefit from $8m cash splash.
The State Government has earmarked 18 projects throughout the Sunshine Coast and Noosa to receive $8.81 million, which councils estimate would create or support 680 local jobs.
It comes as the announcement from the State Government that the Sunshine Coast will share in $12 million worth of new projects, minor works and upgrades at coast schools.
300 jobs expected at $83m complex.
Construction has started on the $83m twin tower residential complex inside the new Maroochydore CBD. Market Lane Residences will comprise 146 apartments, Six SOHO (small office home office) townhouses with retail making up the ground floor.
$59.9m City Hall building for new CBD.
The new home for 600 Council workers is underway.  Local builder McNab, the successful tender, said there will be 200 workers on site at any one time with more than 2000 employed over the duration of the project.
