Where will our increased population work?

Ann Lindner - Monday, February 08, 2021
A massive $32 million Bunnings Warehouse has been approved for the old 'Big Fish' site at the Pumicestone Passage turnoff on the Bruce Highway, creating over 100 ongoing jobs.
Three new schools are opening this week on the Sunshine Coast to keep up with demand for classroom space as the population soars. Baringa State Secondary College in Caloundra, and Palmview State and Palmview Social schools will welcome students through the gates for the very first time.
Residential Construction - this story from a client this week - We are speaking to a number of builders, but the good ones have a full pipeline until next year at least and they have about 20 further clients circling them trying to book in a starting slot (of which there are none available). They have no choice but to turn away work and make no commitments.
Commercial Construction - in Maroochydore waterfront area there are 9 cranes working on high rise buildings AND this is not including the buildings under construction in the new City Centre.
