Ann Lindner - Thursday, April 11, 2019
A number of brand new projects have recently been added to the drawing board and are now underway-
1. Coast-based company Servatus are building a state of the art facility worth $10.4 million. The company uses drug discovery to benefit sufferers of rheumatoid arthritis. The new site in Coolum is planned to start stage one in May this year.
2. The $9 million upgrade to the University stadiums seating is on track for completion shortly.  The project will see seating capacity increase by 50% along with change rooms, function room, sound system, public bathrooms and disability seating.
3. Thanks to a $12 million federal grant, more families will be able to stay close by their loved ones in hospital with the building of the Sunshine Coast Health Foundation Hub in Birtinya.
4. Local company Yondo has secured $750,000 in federal funding to commercialise its revolutionary Live Experience software.  The grant allows the company to expand into North America and Australia and means employing more staff locally.
