Spotlight on Beerwah home of the Crocodile Hunter

Ann Lindner - Tuesday, October 14, 2014

The town of Beerwah is located between Glasshouse Mountains and Caloundra, along the Nambour rail line.  It boasts direct access to the Bruce Highway being just an hour drive to Brisbane airport and 30 minutes to the foodies trail of Maleny –Montville or the patrolled beaches of Caloundra.  It is very popular with families for the larger block sizes, the variety of public or private schools available and the Sunshine Coast University campus literally just up the road.

This week will see the opening of the new extended shopping centre comprising Target, Full Line IGA plus 25 specialty shops reinforced the future growth of this community.  This stretch of hinterland has also seen more than its share of famous faces with Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West just recently visiting the Australia Zoo.  With a number or tourist attractions and sporting clubs planned to expand or relocate to the area there will be increased employment opportunities for school leavers to university graduates.
