The University of the Sunshine Coast has detailed an optimistic outlook for the coast, with room for improvement.
Not surprisingly health care and social services are the largest fields of employment, while retail and construction remain strong.
The report stated that wider training is needed to take advantage in the construction and service sectors that are opening up with the wind-up of mining jobs.
Impressively education levels have more than doubled from 2001-2011 with bachelor degrees or higher increasing from 18,065 in 2001 to 36,558 in 2011!
